Which e-commerce companies in Massachusetts sponsor Green Card visas?
Several Massachusetts-based e-commerce and retail technology companies have documented histories of sponsoring Green Card petitions, including Wayfair, which is headquartered in Boston and regularly files PERM labor certifications for software engineers and data professionals. Beyond Wayfair, regional fulfillment and marketplace companies operating out of the Greater Boston area and Route 128 corridor also appear in DOL PERM disclosure data as active Green Card sponsors.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most e-commerce Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Boston is the dominant hub, with the highest concentration of e-commerce employers and the most Green Card sponsorship activity in the state. Cambridge follows closely, particularly for roles at retail tech and logistics software companies near Kendall Square. Worcester and Burlington also have growing e-commerce operations, but Boston and its immediate suburbs account for the large majority of sponsorship filings in this industry.
What types of e-commerce roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Roles requiring a specialized bachelor's degree or higher are most commonly sponsored, including software engineers, data scientists, product managers, UX researchers, and digital marketing analysts. Supply chain and logistics technology roles have also appeared in PERM filings from Massachusetts e-commerce employers. Positions classified as specialty occupations under EB-2 or EB-3 categories are the most common pathways, though eligibility depends on the specific job duties and employer documentation.
How do I find e-commerce Green Card sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international job seekers and filters e-commerce jobs by Green Card sponsorship in Massachusetts, saving you from manually screening postings that don't offer visa support. You can browse verified sponsorship opportunities across Boston, Cambridge, and surrounding areas in one place. Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on roles where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor, making your search considerably more targeted than a general job board.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for e-commerce Green Card sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers filing PERM labor certifications must adhere to both federal DOL requirements and state prevailing wage determinations, which can differ from national averages given the state's higher cost of living. Boston's competitive technology labor market means prevailing wages for e-commerce roles are often set at higher levels, which affects the PERM process. Massachusetts also has active immigration attorney networks familiar with e-commerce employer petitions, which can be an advantage during the certification process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card e-commerce jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
