Search Growth Jobs in MassachusettsGrowth Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for growth roles in Massachusetts?
Boston-area tech and SaaS companies are the most active sponsors for growth roles in Massachusetts. HubSpot, Wayfair, Klaviyo, and Rapid7 have consistent H-1B filing histories for growth-related positions. Biotech and life sciences firms concentrated in Cambridge, including Biogen and Moderna, also sponsor growth and marketing operations roles, particularly where data analysis or product growth functions overlap with their commercial teams.
Which visa types are most common for growth roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa for growth roles in Massachusetts, particularly for positions like growth analyst, growth engineer, and growth product manager that require a relevant bachelor's degree. Candidates with extraordinary ability in growth or marketing may qualify for an O-1A. International graduates from Massachusetts universities on F-1 OPT, including STEM OPT extensions, frequently use that period to secure employer H-1B sponsorship in growth functions.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most growth sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest share of growth sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts, driven by the concentration of SaaS companies, biotech firms, and venture-backed startups in those areas. Somerville and Watertown have emerged as secondary hubs, particularly for growth roles tied to consumer tech and e-commerce. Worcester has a smaller but growing presence, with regional tech employers occasionally sponsoring growth and digital marketing positions.
How to find growth visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, making it more efficient than general job searches for international candidates. For growth roles in Massachusetts, you can search by role type and state directly on Migrate Mate to surface openings at Boston-area SaaS companies, e-commerce brands, and tech startups that have filed H-1B petitions for growth functions in the past.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for growth visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts growth roles are often tied to the innovation economy centered around Route 128 and the Seaport district, where employer familiarity with H-1B sponsorship is relatively high. Universities like MIT, Harvard, and Northeastern feed strong pipelines of international candidates into growth and data roles, meaning many Boston-area employers have established immigration processes. Prevailing wage requirements apply statewide and are determined by the Department of Labor based on the specific job title and location.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored growth jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
