DESCRIPTION
Amazon's scale creates unique problems in the management of compute and mobile devices for internal use. At our scale, manual tasks are unacceptable—automation is a hard requirement even when vendors don't provide the facilities to do so. As a Senior Manager of Technical Product Management, you will lead and develop a high-performing team while driving the product vision and execution strategy for the systems and services that keep Amazon's vast fleets of Android and Linux end-user devices running reliably, at scale, across our global fulfillment and logistics operations. Amazon's fulfillment organizations rely on Android and Linux based end-user devices as the backbone of core workflows that ship packages to customers every day.
In this role, you will own the product direction for home-grown device management software systems and enabling services—ensuring consistent device state across large fleets, building robust deployment pipelines with safety mechanisms and troubleshooting visibility, and driving automation that eliminates manual intervention at scale.
You will build, mentor, and grow a team that delivers on this vision with operational rigor and customer obsession. You will spearhead product strategy for business-critical services with very high availability requirements. You will define and own the roadmap for device management solutions, partnering closely with Business and solution owners for Amazon operations, Software Development and Systems Engineering stakeholders to shape architecture choices, prioritize investments, and deliver solutions that improve associate efficiency and Amazon customer experience. Your work—and the work of the team you lead—directly influences Amazon's ability to fulfill customer orders. When these systems are unavailable or degraded, the business impact is immediate and measurable.
This is a highly cross-functional leadership role. You will collaborate with a broad range of internal teams and partner organizations to drive adoption of device management services, integrate experimental and production solutions, and work with hardware vendors to define cost-effective device roadmaps that enable deep integration into device subsystems. You will bring strong product instincts, technical depth, and a relentless bias for automation and operational excellence to everything your team delivers.
You will lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional team of technical product managers, UX designers, and business intelligence engineers responsible for next-generation infrastructure technologies, including agentic AI solutions. You will be responsible for hiring, performance management, career development, and building a culture of innovation and accountability within your team. The right candidate will be equally comfortable developing multi-year product strategy, investing in the growth of their people, and diving deep into technical details with engineering partners. This is a people leadership role that requires strategic vision, team development, and the ability to roll up your sleeves when needed.
You will define the multi-year product roadmap for creator-facing tools, drive adoption of self-service capabilities that eliminate manual workflows, and build trust through transparency and intuitive experiences. You will not only shape the direction but also empower your team to define requirements, drive launches, and measure outcomes—while holding the bar high on quality and delivery.

- Establish north-star metrics for creator experience quality and drive continuous improvement through experimentation and user research.
- Partner with Software Development and Systems Engineering stakeholders to shape architecture choices, evaluate build-vs-buy tradeoffs, and ensure designs meet very high availability requirements (99.9%+ uptime).
- Drive the technical definition of deployment systems with safeties, rollback mechanisms, and fleet-wide observability.
- Partner with external vendors and internal teams to define cost-effective device roadmaps enabling deep subsystem integration.
- Own product-level accountability for device uptime, fleet compliance, and deployment success rates across compute and device solutions.
- Drive end-to-end initiatives from discovery through launch and post-launch measurement; write PRDs, define requirements, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Search Manager, Product Management Jobs in MassachusettsManager, Product Management Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for manager, product management roles in Massachusetts?
Boston-area technology and life sciences companies are among the most active sponsors. HubSpot, Wayfair, Klaviyo, Toast, Biogen, and Fidelity Investments have consistent H-1B filing histories for product management positions. Large enterprise employers along the Route 128 corridor, including Raytheon Technologies and Thermo Fisher Scientific, also sponsor product leadership roles, though sponsorship decisions are made case by case and are never guaranteed.
Which visa types are most common for manager, product management roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for Manager, Product Management roles in Massachusetts, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as business, engineering, or computer science. Candidates already holding L-1B or O-1 visa status may also be eligible depending on their background, and some employers transition employees from F-1 OPT through H-1B sponsorship.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most manager, product management sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the large majority of product management sponsorship activity in the state, anchored by the Seaport District, Kendall Square, and Back Bay office concentrations. Waltham and Burlington along the Route 128 technology corridor are also significant hubs, hosting enterprise software and defense technology employers. Somerville and Watertown have grown as secondary markets due to biotech and health tech company expansions.
How to find manager, product management visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, making it straightforward to identify Massachusetts employers actively hiring Manager, Product Management candidates who need sponsorship. Rather than sorting through general job boards where sponsorship details are often unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces roles where sponsorship has been confirmed, saving significant time for candidates on F-1 OPT, H-1B transfer, or other time-sensitive work authorization.
Are there state-specific considerations for product management sponsorship roles in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers filing H-1B petitions for product management roles must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which reflect the competitive compensation benchmarks of the Boston metro market. The state's concentration of universities, including MIT, Harvard, and Northeastern, creates a strong local talent pipeline that many companies draw from when sponsoring OPT-to-H-1B transitions. Product management roles at biotech companies may also require domain-specific credentials that influence how specialty occupation status is evaluated.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manager, product management jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
