Which companies sponsor visas for manager, product management roles in Virginia?
Northern Virginia's tech and defense sector produces most of the sponsorship activity for product management leaders. Companies like Amazon Web Services, Capital One, Booz Allen Hamilton, Leidos, Microsoft, and Salesforce have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for product management roles in Virginia. Larger enterprises with established immigration programs are generally more likely to sponsor than early-stage startups.
Which visa types are most common for manager, product management roles in Virginia?
The H-1B is the most common visa for Manager, Product Management roles in Virginia, as these positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and qualify as specialty occupations. Candidates already holding L-1A status through an intracompany transfer can also move into product management leadership roles. Australian citizens may find the E-3 visa a viable alternative to the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in Virginia have the most manager, product management sponsorship jobs?
Northern Virginia cities dominate, with Reston, McLean, Herndon, Arlington, and Alexandria accounting for the largest share of product management sponsorship activity. The corridor along the Dulles Technology Corridor and the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor in Arlington attracts both defense contractors and commercial tech companies. Richmond has a smaller but growing presence, driven by Capital One's headquarters and a cluster of fintech firms.
How to find manager, product management visa sponsorship jobs in Virginia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Manager, Product Management openings in Virginia without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant positions from employers like AWS, Capital One, and defense-sector contractors. Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on roles where sponsorship is part of the employer's hiring process.
Are there state-specific considerations for manager, product management sponsorship jobs in Virginia?
Many product management roles in Northern Virginia support federal government clients, which can add security clearance requirements. Clearance-required positions are generally not sponsorable, so it's worth confirming a role's clearance status before pursuing sponsorship. Virginia's prevailing wage determinations for product management leaders reflect the region's high cost of living, particularly in Northern Virginia, which means sponsored salaries must meet elevated Department of Labor benchmarks.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manager, product management jobs in Virginia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
