Which companies in Michigan sponsor visas for solution managers?
Michigan's largest visa sponsors for solution manager roles include Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Stellantis, and Rocket Companies in the Detroit metro area. Technology-focused employers like Ally Financial, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, and DTE Energy also sponsor H-1B visas for solution-oriented positions. Automotive suppliers such as Aptiv and BorgWarner have a consistent track record of sponsorship for these roles.
What visa types are most common for solution manager roles in Michigan?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solution manager positions in Michigan, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or business technology. Candidates already authorized through OPT or STEM OPT frequently transition to H-1B sponsorship through Michigan-based employers. L-1B visas are also used when a candidate transfers from a multinational company's overseas office to a Michigan location.
How to find solution manager visa sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters solution manager roles in Michigan by visa sponsorship status, saving significant research time. Because Michigan's sponsoring employers are concentrated in automotive technology, enterprise software, and financial services, filtering by those industries on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to companies with an active sponsorship history in the state.
Which cities in Michigan have the most solution manager sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and its suburbs, including Dearborn, Auburn Hills, and Troy, account for the majority of solution manager sponsorship activity in Michigan due to the concentration of automotive and financial services headquarters. Ann Arbor is a secondary hub, driven by University of Michigan spinoffs and technology firms. Grand Rapids has a smaller but growing presence, particularly in healthcare IT and manufacturing solutions.
Are there any state-specific factors that affect solution manager sponsorship in Michigan?
Michigan's solution manager market is heavily tied to the automotive industry's ongoing digital transformation, meaning employers frequently seek candidates with domain knowledge in manufacturing systems or supply chain software alongside solution management skills. The University of Michigan and Michigan State University generate a pipeline of F-1 graduates who pursue OPT in these roles before seeking H-1B sponsorship. Prevailing wage determinations for solution managers in the Detroit metro area are set by the Department of Labor and must be met by sponsoring employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution manager jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
