Which companies sponsor visas for solution managers in Oregon?
Intel is one of Oregon's most active H-1B sponsors and regularly hires solution managers tied to its Hillsboro semiconductor operations. Nike's global headquarters in Beaverton, along with Portland-based tech firms like Daimler Trucks North America and Precision Castparts, have also sponsored solution manager roles. Enterprise software and cloud companies with Oregon offices, including Salesforce and Oracle, appear frequently in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for this role type.
Which visa types are most common for solution manager roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solution managers in Oregon, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Candidates with extraordinary achievement in enterprise solutions or technology consulting may qualify for the O-1A. Canadians and Mexicans may explore the TN visa if the role fits a qualifying USMCA professional category, though this requires careful evaluation of the specific job duties.
Which cities in Oregon have the most solution manager sponsorship jobs?
Portland is Oregon's primary hub for solution manager sponsorship jobs, driven by its concentration of technology, logistics, and professional services employers. The neighboring cities of Beaverton and Hillsboro, part of the Portland metro area, add significant volume through Intel's large campus and affiliated suppliers. Eugene has a smaller but growing tech presence tied to the University of Oregon's research ecosystem, occasionally producing solution manager openings at regional software and healthcare companies.
How to find solution manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse solution manager roles in Oregon without sifting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can search by state and role type to surface employers actively sponsoring in Portland, Beaverton, and Hillsboro. Migrate Mate also aggregates data on which Oregon companies have a history of filing H-1B petitions for solution-focused positions.
Are there state-specific considerations for solution managers pursuing sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon does not impose its own state-level visa or work authorization requirements, so federal H-1B rules govern the process. However, Oregon's prevailing wage environment is shaped by the Portland metro cost of living, which typically pushes Department of Labor wage determinations higher than in rural areas. Solution manager candidates should confirm that their offered compensation meets or exceeds the applicable prevailing wage level for the specific Portland or Hillsboro worksite listed on the Labor Condition Application.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution manager jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
