Which companies sponsor visas for solution managers in Ohio?
Several large Ohio-based and nationally headquartered employers have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for solution manager roles, including Nationwide Insurance, JPMorgan Chase's Columbus operations, Accenture, Cognizant, and Infosys. Healthcare IT firms such as Optum and Epic implementation partners active in Ohio also sponsor for these positions. Sponsorship activity is concentrated among larger enterprises and major consulting firms with established immigration programs.
Which visa types are most common for solution manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for solution managers in Ohio, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field like computer science, business, or engineering. L-1B visas are used when candidates transfer within a multinational company. O-1 visas are an option for candidates with demonstrably exceptional professional achievements. TN visas apply to qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupations.
How to find solution manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface visa sponsorship jobs for international candidates, making it straightforward to filter for solution manager roles in Ohio without sifting through listings from employers who don't sponsor. Because Ohio's sponsorship activity spans Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati across different industries, using Migrate Mate to search by location and role type helps narrow to employers with active immigration programs rather than applying broadly.
Which cities in Ohio have the most solution manager sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is the strongest market, anchored by major employers in insurance, financial services, and technology. Cleveland follows, with sponsorship activity driven by healthcare systems, manufacturing technology firms, and professional services. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, supported by consumer goods companies, logistics technology firms, and financial institutions. Smaller markets like Dayton and Akron have limited sponsorship activity but occasional openings tied to defense contractors and polymer technology companies.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for solution manager visa sponsorship candidates?
Ohio employers sponsoring H-1B solution managers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements specific to each metro area, and wages differ across Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati wage regions. Ohio's strong university pipeline, particularly from Ohio State, Case Western Reserve, and University of Cincinnati, means employers in those cities are accustomed to working with international talent. Candidates should confirm that a prospective employer has an established immigration legal process in place before beginning any application.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
