Which companies sponsor visas for corporate development managers in Minnesota?
The most active sponsors for corporate development manager roles in Minnesota tend to be large, multinational employers with established immigration programs. Companies like UnitedHealth Group, 3M, Medtronic, Target, and Ameriprise Financial have filed H-1B petitions for business and strategy roles in past years. Smaller regional firms and private equity-backed companies sponsor less frequently, so targeting publicly traded or Fortune 500 employers based in the Twin Cities generally improves your chances.
Which visa types are most common for corporate development manager roles in Minnesota?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for corporate development managers in Minnesota, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, business, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with approved EB-1 or EB-2 immigrant visa petitions may also work in these roles. Australians may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is worth exploring separately.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most corporate development manager sponsorship jobs?
Minneapolis and Saint Paul together account for the overwhelming majority of corporate development manager sponsorship opportunities in Minnesota. The broader Twin Cities metro, including suburbs like Plymouth, Minnetonka, and Eden Prairie, is home to most of the state's large corporate headquarters. Duluth and Rochester have some employer activity, but deal volume and M&A-facing roles are far more concentrated in the metro area.
How to find corporate development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international job seekers looking for visa sponsorship roles, and filters results by job title and state, making it straightforward to browse corporate development manager openings in Minnesota. Beyond the job board, focusing your search on companies with a documented H-1B filing history in Minnesota and reaching out directly to in-house M&A and strategy teams can strengthen your pipeline alongside any platform-based search.
Are there any state-specific considerations for corporate development managers seeking sponsorship in Minnesota?
Minnesota's concentration of healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing conglomerates means that corporate development roles here often involve regulated industries, which can add complexity to both the business role and the sponsorship process. The state's deep ties to the University of Minnesota and Carlson School of Management create a strong local talent pipeline, so international candidates benefit from highlighting specialized deal experience or industry expertise that differentiates them from domestic applicants.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored corporate development manager jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
