Which healthcare companies sponsor TN visas in Mississippi?
Large hospital systems and health networks are the most common TN sponsors in Mississippi. University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson, Merit Health facilities, Singing River Health System on the Gulf Coast, and Forrest Health in Hattiesburg have all recruited internationally qualified healthcare professionals. Federally qualified health centers and long-term care operators also hire TN workers, though sponsorship practices vary by facility and role.
Which cities in Mississippi have the most healthcare TN sponsorship jobs?
Jackson concentrates the most healthcare TN opportunities, anchored by UMMC and the state's largest hospital network. Gulfport and Biloxi on the Gulf Coast are active hiring markets, driven by Singing River Health System and Memorial Hospital. Hattiesburg supports a secondary cluster through Forrest Health and Laurel. Rural areas across the state also see demand, particularly for physical therapists and medical technologists, due to persistent staffing shortages.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Mississippi?
The TN visa covers specific USMCA-listed occupations. In healthcare, qualifying roles include registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical laboratory technologists, pharmacists, dietitians, and certain medical imaging professionals. Physicians and dentists are also on the USMCA list. Roles like medical assistants, home health aides, or general patient care technicians do not meet the professional degree requirements and are not eligible for TN classification.
How do I find healthcare TN sponsorship jobs in Mississippi?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by TN visa, the healthcare industry, and Mississippi to see employers actively open to sponsoring qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals. General job boards don't filter for visa sponsorship, so you end up contacting employers who won't consider international candidates. Migrate Mate removes that friction by surfacing only relevant, sponsorship-open roles in Mississippi healthcare.
Are there state-specific considerations for TN healthcare sponsorship in Mississippi?
Mississippi has some of the highest rates of chronic disease and rural healthcare shortages in the country, which increases employer willingness to sponsor internationally trained professionals. The state also has its own licensing requirements for healthcare workers, separate from TN visa eligibility. Canadian and Mexican applicants must obtain a Mississippi state license or temporary permit in their profession before or concurrently with starting work, depending on the occupation and employer's onboarding process.
