Search Accounting Manager Jobs in MissouriAccounting Manager Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for accounting managers in Missouri?
St. Louis-based multinationals like Emerson Electric, Centene Corporation, and Peabody Energy have sponsored accounting and finance roles in the past, as have Kansas City employers such as Cerner (now Oracle Health), H&R Block, and Hallmark. Large regional banks, hospital networks, and professional services firms across both metros also account for a meaningful share of accounting manager sponsorships in Missouri.
Which visa types are most common for accounting manager roles in Missouri?
The H-1B is the most common visa for accounting managers in Missouri, since the role typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding a master's degree may qualify for the H-1B advanced degree exemption. Some multinational employers use the L-1A for managers transferring from an affiliated foreign office.
Which cities in Missouri have the most accounting manager sponsorship jobs?
Kansas City and St. Louis generate the overwhelming majority of accounting manager sponsorship opportunities in Missouri. St. Louis draws demand from Fortune 500 headquarters and large healthcare systems, while Kansas City's financial services sector, technology companies, and corporate headquarters create consistent hiring. Columbia and Springfield see occasional openings tied to university systems and regional healthcare employers, but volume is much lower.
How to find accounting manager visa sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by role and state to see accounting manager positions in Missouri where employers have indicated visa sponsorship availability. Because sponsorship willingness varies significantly by employer and even by hiring cycle, using a dedicated platform like Migrate Mate is more efficient than manually screening general job postings for sponsorship language.
Are there any Missouri-specific considerations for accounting managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Missouri does not impose state-level visa filing requirements, but Department of Labor prevailing wage rules apply to every H-1B petition regardless of state. Accounting manager roles in Missouri are typically classified under SOC code 11-3031, and employers must attest that the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for that occupation in the relevant metro area. CPA licensure, while not a federal visa requirement, strengthens candidacy significantly with Missouri employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored accounting manager jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
