Which companies in Oklahoma sponsor visas for accounting managers?
Energy sector employers are among the most active sponsors for accounting manager roles in Oklahoma. Companies like Devon Energy, ONEOK, and Phillips 66 affiliates have filed Labor Condition Applications for finance and accounting leadership positions in the past. Large healthcare systems including Integris Health and OU Health also hire accounting managers and have sponsored international candidates, particularly in their Oklahoma City operations.
Which visa types are most common for accounting manager roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for accounting managers in Oklahoma, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Candidates with a CPA designation or advanced degrees strengthen their petition. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals, as accountants are listed as a qualifying TN profession.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most accounting manager sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the overwhelming majority of accounting manager sponsorship opportunities in the state. Oklahoma City is home to major corporate headquarters in energy and healthcare, while Tulsa has a dense concentration of oil and gas companies, financial services firms, and manufacturing operations. Smaller markets like Norman and Edmond see occasional openings, typically with healthcare or university-adjacent employers.
How to find accounting manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the United States. You can filter directly for accounting manager roles in Oklahoma to see employers actively open to sponsoring. This is more efficient than general job boards because listings are pre-filtered for sponsorship willingness, saving you time that would otherwise be spent vetting individual postings manually.
Are there any state-specific considerations for accounting managers seeking sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's economy is heavily tied to energy, which means accounting manager roles often require familiarity with oil and gas revenue recognition, joint interest billing, or commodity accounting. Employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the prevailing wage as determined by the Department of Labor for the Oklahoma City or Tulsa metro areas, which are set below coastal markets but reflect local cost conditions. A CPA license strengthens both your candidacy and visa petition.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored accounting manager jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
