Responsibilities
Kforce's client, a Fortune 500 company and a distributor in the Saint Louis, MO area, is seeking a Corporate Accountant to support general ledger activities, financial reporting, and close processes in accordance with GAAP. This role works closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate reporting, support budgeting efforts, and drive process improvements. Our client offers benefits and salary, position will be on-site 3 days minimum, great work/life balance, PTO and other company benefits. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Support general ledger maintenance and preparation of internal financial reports
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including financial statement review
- Evaluate and enhance internal accounting processes to improve efficiency and ensure policy alignment
- Collaborate with corporate leadership on the annual budgeting process
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or Business Administration
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to costing, budgeting, and tax responsibilities
- Solid knowledge of GAAP
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proven leadership and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential information
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
