- Supervise content planning and execution for WDAF+, including original programming and streaming initiatives.
- Coordinate broadcast specials and station initiatives, including franchise and community-focused programming (Heritage Month specials, franchise initiatives, and live events).
- Oversee the shooting and editing calendar for specials to ensure efficient production and use of resources.
- Work with reporters, photographers, and editors to produce high-quality special reports.
- Maintain strong coordination across newsroom teams, including managers, operations and production.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience producing newscasts, special projects, or multi-platform content.
- Demonstrated ability to guide projects and collaborate across teams without direct supervisory responsibility, requiring influence and coordination across teams.
- Excellent writing, spelling, grammar and copy-editing skills.
- Project coordination experience and strong organizational skills required.
- Understanding of streaming and digital content workflows preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Must be able to flex schedule as projects demand.
- College degree in broadcast journalism, broadcast news or related fields.
- Ability to make editorial decisions under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
