Which aerospace & defense companies sponsor Green Card visas in Missouri?
Boeing is the largest aerospace employer in Missouri and has a documented history of Green Card sponsorship, particularly at its St. Louis operations. Honeywell Federal Manufacturing and Technologies in Kansas City, General Dynamics, and L3Harris also sponsor Green Cards for qualifying roles. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and depends on the specific role, business need, and timing of the employer's immigration program.
Which cities in Missouri have the most aerospace & defense Green Card sponsorship jobs?
St. Louis is the dominant hub, home to Boeing's major manufacturing and defense operations as well as a cluster of defense contractors and suppliers. Kansas City is the second most active city, anchored by Honeywell's federal manufacturing facility. Smaller concentrations exist in the Lake of the Ozarks region and near Whiteman Air Force Base, where defense contractors support government contracts.
What types of aerospace & defense roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship?
Roles that typically qualify include systems engineers, aerospace engineers, software engineers with defense systems experience, electrical and mechanical engineers, and program managers with specialized technical backgrounds. These positions generally fall under the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based preference categories, which require the employer to complete PERM labor certification. Positions requiring active U.S. security clearances are sometimes restricted to U.S. citizens or permanent residents, which affects availability.
How do I find aerospace & defense Green Card sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, including Green Card-sponsored roles in aerospace and defense. You can filter jobs by visa type and industry to surface Missouri-based aerospace and defense positions where employers have indicated sponsorship availability. Because Green Card sponsorship requires significant employer commitment, Migrate Mate helps you focus your search on employers with active sponsorship programs rather than applying broadly.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Missouri aerospace & defense?
Many Missouri aerospace and defense positions involve government contracts or access to controlled technical data under ITAR regulations, which can restrict certain roles to U.S. citizens or existing permanent residents. If a position requires a security clearance, employers may be unable to sponsor non-citizens until clearance eligibility is confirmed. Candidates should confirm clearance and ITAR requirements directly with employers before pursuing sponsorship, as these factors significantly affect which roles are accessible.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card aerospace & defense jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
