Which companies sponsor visas for marketing professionals in Nebraska?
Omaha-based employers with sponsorship history in marketing include Sandhills Global, Kiewit, Mutual of Omaha, and TD Ameritrade. Lincoln employers such as Hudl and Nelnet have also sponsored marketing roles. Larger corporations and university systems are generally more likely to have established HR infrastructure to manage sponsorship than smaller regional agencies.
Which visa types are most common for marketing roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for marketing professionals in Nebraska, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. The O-1 visa is an option for candidates with demonstrated exceptional achievement. International graduates from University of Nebraska campuses often bridge to employer sponsorship through F-1 OPT or STEM OPT extension periods.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most marketing sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the majority of Nebraska's marketing sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of financial services, logistics, and technology employers. Lincoln is the second-largest market, supported by the University of Nebraska, Hudl, and state government-adjacent organizations. Smaller markets like Grand Island and Kearney have limited sponsorship activity and are less reliable sources of visa-sponsored marketing roles.
How to find marketing visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa-sponsored roles and filters marketing jobs in Nebraska by sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through general job boards and guessing which employers will sponsor, Migrate Mate surfaces positions from companies with documented sponsorship track records, saving time for candidates navigating OPT deadlines or H-1B timelines.
Are there any Nebraska-specific considerations for marketing visa sponsorship?
Nebraska's cost of living relative to coastal markets means employers calibrate offers to regional prevailing wage standards set by the Department of Labor, which affects LCA filings for H-1B sponsorship. The University of Nebraska system creates a steady pipeline of international marketing graduates who pursue local sponsorship. Agribusiness and agricultural marketing roles are more prevalent here than in most other states, which can shape the specialty occupation argument for H-1B petitions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored marketing jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
