Search Marketing Jobs in OregonMarketing Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for marketing professionals in Oregon?
Nike, Adidas North America, and Intel are among Oregon's most consistent visa sponsors for marketing roles, given their large international workforces and established HR infrastructure for H-1B visa petitions. Portland-based companies like Daimler Trucks North America and a number of mid-size software firms also appear in Department of Labor LCA filings for marketing positions. Larger employers with dedicated immigration counsel are generally the most reliable sponsors.
Which visa types are most common for marketing roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for marketing professionals in Oregon, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field like marketing, communications, or business. L-1B visas are also used for international transfers into marketing roles at multinationals with Oregon offices, such as Nike or Adidas. O-1 visas are an option for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement in marketing.
Which cities in Oregon have the most marketing sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of marketing visa sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, tech companies, and agency offices. Beaverton and Hillsboro, part of the broader Portland metro, add significant volume through employers like Nike and Intel. Outside the metro, Eugene and Corvallis see limited sponsorship activity, primarily through the University of Oregon and Oregon State University in research-adjacent marketing roles.
How to find marketing visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, letting you search marketing roles in Oregon without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can narrow results by city, role type, and visa category to focus on employers actively filing LCAs in the Portland metro and beyond. Searching on Migrate Mate saves time and surfaces opportunities from companies with documented sponsorship history in Oregon.
Are there state-specific considerations for marketing visa sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon does not have state-level visa programs, so federal H-1B rules apply uniformly. One practical consideration is that marketing roles must meet the DOL prevailing wage for the specific occupation and geographic area, which is benchmarked to the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro metro for most Oregon positions. University of Oregon and Oregon State produce strong marketing graduates who sometimes transition from OPT to H-1B sponsorship, making Portland-area employers familiar with that pipeline.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored marketing jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
