Which companies sponsor visas for program associates in Nebraska?
Healthcare and nonprofit organizations are among the most active sponsors for program associate roles in Nebraska. Nebraska Medicine, the University of Nebraska system, and large Omaha-based insurers such as Mutual of Omaha have sponsored work visas for coordination and program support positions. Government-affiliated agencies and research institutions in Lincoln also periodically sponsor international candidates for program associate and program coordinator roles.
Which visa types are most common for program associate roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for program associate roles in Nebraska, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Candidates from Australia may be eligible for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under TN visa status if the role aligns with an eligible profession. OPT and STEM OPT are also widely used by recent graduates in these positions.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most program associate sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the majority of program associate sponsorship activity in Nebraska, driven by its concentration of healthcare systems, financial services firms, and nonprofit organizations. Lincoln is the second-largest market, with the University of Nebraska and state government agencies generating consistent demand. Outside these two cities, sponsorship opportunities for program associates are limited, making Omaha and Lincoln the practical focal points for international job seekers.
How to find program associate visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for international job seekers and filters program associate roles in Nebraska by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can avoid sifting through postings from employers who don't sponsor. Search for program associate positions filtered to Nebraska on Migrate Mate to find roles at healthcare systems, universities, and nonprofits in Omaha and Lincoln that have a documented history of sponsoring international candidates.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for program associates in Nebraska?
Nebraska's sponsorship activity for program associates is shaped by its healthcare and higher education sectors, which tend to have established HR processes for visa filings. The University of Nebraska system and Nebraska Medicine have international hiring infrastructure in place, making them more straightforward to work with than smaller employers. Prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules apply statewide, so employers must pay the DOL-determined wage for the Omaha or Lincoln metropolitan area, depending on the work location.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program associate jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
