The successful candidate will also be expected to complete hands-on work with on-premise Active Directory and Privilege Access Management solutions. This position is ideal for an individual with strong technical skills who is looking to transition into a leadership role and advance their career to the next level without fully stepping away from hands-on technical work.

- Lead a team of developers and engineers to grow, support, and maintain the AD and PAM platforms.
- Ensure security best practices are enforced across all elements of the AD and PAM implementations.
- Implement and design key team processes for platform and team operations and management.
- Help design, develop, and drive an automation-first IAM stack.
What You Bring to the Team
Technical Expertise (50%)
- Technical mastery of On-Premise Active Directory and/or a Privilege Access Management Program. This includes technical knowledge for architecture, configurations, best practices, and operations. The correct candidate should be capable of:
- Active Directory: managing and administering AD objects, operating and maintaining domain controllers, management of DNS Zones and Objects, and approaches for security hardening and group policy management.
- PAM: management of PAM SaaS solutions (administration, maintenance, and operations), policies related to non-human identities and privileged access identities, governance for PAM resources, and management of accounts in various types of infrastructure, including servers, databases, network appliances, and virtual hosts.
- Strong/expert level understanding of authentication mechanisms and protocols, including LDAP, LDAPS, and Kerberos.
- Experience working in large enterprise-scale IAM environments, with more than 20,000 users and computer objects.
- Understanding of IT Service Management processes and concepts, such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and the ability to quickly adapt to adhere to those processes.
People Leadership Expertise (50%)
- Ability to lead project teams to accomplish goals and milestones.
- Excellent people skills are a must - we are looking for a strong manager who is thoughtful in their approach to managing people and working with people on other teams.
- Willingness to invest in more junior members of the team and grow their technical skills within IAM platforms.
- Good written and oral communication in English.
- Self-driven with an ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and variables in a dynamic and fast-moving, large-scale project with tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work in an international team, with project meetings several times a week at odd hours to support the US, Europe, and India.

Which companies sponsor visas for technical managers in Nevada?
Switch, the Las Vegas-based hyperscale data center operator, has a consistent record of sponsoring H-1B visas for technical leadership roles. Gaming and hospitality giants like MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment also file sponsorships for technical managers overseeing engineering and platform teams. In Reno, companies in the cloud and logistics technology space, including Amazon's regional operations, have sponsored technical manager positions.
Which visa types are most common for technical manager roles in Nevada?
The H-1B is the most common visa for technical managers in Nevada, given that the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field like computer science or engineering. Candidates with significant leadership experience may also qualify for the O-1A if they can demonstrate extraordinary ability. Intracompany transferees at large hotel and gaming corporations sometimes use the L-1A, which is designed for managerial roles.
Which cities in Nevada have the most technical manager sponsorship jobs?
Las Vegas accounts for the majority of technical manager sponsorship activity in Nevada, driven by the city's large hospitality-tech ecosystem, data center industry, and growing fintech presence. Reno is a secondary hub, supported by Tesla's Gigafactory and an expanding base of cloud infrastructure and logistics companies. Henderson, as a Las Vegas suburb with a concentrated business district, also hosts technology employers that sponsor technical managers.
How to find technical manager visa sponsorship jobs in Nevada?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for technical manager roles in Nevada without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can filter by location to focus on Las Vegas or Reno, where sponsorship activity is highest. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with documented sponsorship histories, which helps narrow your search to companies already familiar with the H-1B process.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical managers seeking sponsorship in Nevada?
Nevada has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since the Department of Labor's wage determinations for technical managers are based on gross pay benchmarks that apply uniformly regardless of state tax treatment. Nevada's gaming industry is heavily regulated, so technical managers at casino-adjacent employers may face additional background checks beyond standard immigration requirements. The state's rapid data center expansion, particularly in Las Vegas, has increased employer demand for technical leadership with specialized infrastructure experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical manager jobs in Nevada?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
