Major sponsors include Lonza Biologics in Portsmouth, DEKA Research & Development in Manchester, and Hypertherm in Hanover. Contract research organizations like Covance (now part of Labcorp) in Princeton also regularly sponsor H-1B visa and other work visas for scientists, clinical research associates, and regulatory affairs specialists with specialized expertise.
How to find biotech & pharma visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate specializes in connecting international professionals with biotech and pharmaceutical companies in New Hampshire that sponsor work visas. Focus your search on the Manchester-Nashua metropolitan area and Portsmouth, where most of the state's life sciences companies are concentrated and actively recruit international talent.
What visa types are most common for biotech & pharma roles in New Hampshire?
H-1B visas dominate for research scientists, biostatisticians, and regulatory affairs roles requiring advanced degrees. O-1 visas are used for researchers with exceptional achievements, while L-1 visas serve multinational companies transferring employees to New Hampshire operations. Which New Hampshire cities have the most biotech & pharma visa sponsorship opportunities?
Manchester leads with companies like DEKA Research and several contract manufacturing organizations. Nashua and surrounding towns also house smaller biotechnology firms and pharmaceutical service companies.
Are there state-specific advantages for biotech visa holders in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, making it financially attractive for visa holders. Lower prevailing wages compared to Massachusetts still offer competitive compensation while reducing LCA filing costs for employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored biotech & pharma jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
