Which cybersecurity companies in New Hampshire sponsor work visas?
Major sponsors include BAE Systems (defense contracting), Liberty Mutual (insurance), Fidelity Investments (financial services), and Dyn (now part of Oracle). Defense contractors like BAE often sponsor for security clearance-eligible roles, while financial services firms sponsor for risk management and compliance positions. Government contractors in the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard area also provide sponsorship opportunities.
How to find cybersecurity visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters cybersecurity positions specifically for New Hampshire employers with H-1B sponsorship history. Focus on Manchester and Nashua job markets, plus remote positions with New Hampshire-based companies. Target financial services firms, defense contractors, and technology companies that have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for security roles in the state.
What visa types are most common for cybersecurity jobs in New Hampshire?
H-1B visas dominate for cybersecurity analyst, security engineer, and information security specialist roles. L-1 visas are common for transfers within multinational companies like Oracle or international financial firms. O-1 visas may apply for senior security architects or researchers with specialized expertise. TN status works for Canadian and Mexican cybersecurity professionals in qualifying roles.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most cybersecurity visa sponsorship opportunities?
Manchester leads with financial services and insurance companies, followed by Nashua's technology sector. Portsmouth offers opportunities through defense contractors and naval facilities. Concord has state government and healthcare cybersecurity roles. Remote positions based in New Hampshire are increasingly common, expanding options beyond these metropolitan areas for visa holders.
Are there specific considerations for cybersecurity visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
Defense contractors may require security clearance eligibility, which typically needs U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Financial services firms often have strict background check requirements that can affect visa processing timelines. The University of New Hampshire's cybersecurity programs create pipeline opportunities, but competition with local graduates can be significant for entry-level sponsored positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cybersecurity jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
