SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
The Role
Seeking a Mainframe Developer with superb technical skills to develop and maintain high volume production platforms in the Electronic Channel Applications domain of Institutional Technology. The Team
We are an agile squad that is part of the FI Trading & Brokerage Services organization. Working together and with other squads, we deliver solutions to our customers by aligning the right skillsets to their most critical business priorities. The work is diverse, challenging, and provides for continuous learning and growth opportunities.
The Expertise And Skills You Bring
- 8+ years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications
- Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM
- Knowledge of MQ would be nice to have
- Development expertise in Java
- Ability to perform detailed analysis and documentation for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments
- Deploy and support software releases into production environments
- Employ your data security skills to keep our customers information safe
- You are detailed and thorough with unit, functional and regression testing
- Proven Experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures is a plus
- Experience in Distributed Technologies (Nice to have/Willing to learn)
- Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences
- Proven strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills
- Embrace flexibility and shift focus to meet the most pressing customer/client needs
