Purpose and Importance of Position
Reporting to the Treasury Manager, will perform all the functions listed below in more complex accounting areas. The person would be responsible to support the Accounting Manager with all financial reporting requirements and assist with special projects.
Specific Job Functions:
Treasury:
- Assists with the quarter-end expense reporting process, including preparing budget vs. actual explanations for management review, and expense allocations.
- Contributes to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Assists with the quarterly flux analysis of the balance sheet and income statement.
- Prepares and reviews the monthly department expense reporting.
- Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assists with the quarter-end expense reporting and analysis for the CEO report.
- Drives the quarterly inter/intracompany process by working closely with affiliates.
- Prepares and supports ad-hoc projects as needed.
Essential Functions
- Performs various accounting, financial reporting, and analytical work for RiverStone.
- Participates and aids with the internal and external audit processes.
- Monitors various activities and transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitors various aspects of assigned area for compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Proficient in the analysis of financial data.
- Communicates activity and transactions to management as appropriate.
- Compiles and records recurring monthly transactions.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
- Responsible for the execution of required operational changes.
- Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Proactively seeks to improve processes to meet new requirements and improve operational efficiency.
- Assists with the day-to-day banking and cash management responsibilities as needed.
- Participates in special projects such as acquisitions, mergers, and dispositions.
Required Skills
- Must be able to analyze financial results, identify discrepancies, and make corrections timely.
- Requires technical and professional accounting skills with competency in Accounting Theory.
- Advanced analytical ability.
- Research and apply accounting policy to business issues that arise.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform within a team-oriented environment.
- Proven experience with coordination of multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and working productively and efficiently under pressure.
- Adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
- Operate effectively with complexity and change.
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and Statutory).
- Intermediate Excel knowledge.
- Customer service oriented with the ability for developing long lasting relationships with internal and external business partners.

- Develops creative ideas and solutions to real time business problems and/or business opportunities; Takes reasonable, calculated risks even if failure is possible.
