Which insurance companies sponsor visas in Arizona?
Major insurance employers in Arizona that sponsor visas include USAA (headquartered in Phoenix), Fidelity National Financial, State Farm regional offices, and Chubb. Additionally, several smaller specialty insurers and insurtech startups in the Phoenix metro area sponsor H-1B and other work visas for actuarial, data science, and software engineering positions within insurance technology.
How to find insurance visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate specializes in connecting international candidates with insurance companies in Arizona that sponsor work visas. The platform filters opportunities specifically by state and industry, making it easier to identify Phoenix and Tucson-based insurers actively hiring international talent for actuarial, underwriting, claims, and insurance technology roles with visa sponsorship.
Which cities in Arizona have the most insurance sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix dominates Arizona's insurance job market, hosting major carriers like USAA, regional headquarters for national insurers, and emerging insurtech companies. Tucson follows as a secondary market with several regional insurance operations and specialty carriers. Scottsdale and Tempe also host insurance technology companies and corporate offices that frequently sponsor visas.
What visa types are most common for insurance roles in Arizona?
H-1B visas are most common for insurance professionals in Arizona, particularly for actuaries, data scientists, software engineers, and quantitative analysts. O-1 visas occasionally apply for senior actuaries or risk management executives with extraordinary ability. L-1 transfers are common when international insurers establish Arizona operations or expand existing offices.
Are there university partnerships for insurance careers in Arizona?
Arizona State University's actuarial science program and University of Arizona's business programs maintain strong relationships with local insurers. Many Arizona insurance companies recruit directly from these programs and are experienced with sponsoring recent graduates on F-1 OPT who transition to H-1B status after completing actuarial or risk management degrees.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored insurance jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
