Which transportation companies in New Hampshire sponsor work visas?
Major transportation employers sponsoring visas include FedEx Ground with large facilities in Manchester and Londonderry, UPS distribution operations, and regional carriers like New England Motor Freight. Aviation companies at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, including cargo handlers and logistics coordinators, also provide sponsorship opportunities for qualified international candidates with relevant experience.
What visa types are most common for transportation jobs in New Hampshire?
H-1B visas are most common for specialized roles like logistics analysts, supply chain managers, and transportation engineers. TN visas serve Canadian and Mexican professionals in management or engineering positions. Some companies use L-1 visas for international transfers, particularly in logistics coordination roles requiring specific regional expertise or language skills.
How to find transportation visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Use Migrate Mate to search transportation positions in New Hampshire that offer visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for employers willing to sponsor work visas, focusing on roles in freight logistics, warehouse management, and transportation planning. Many opportunities concentrate around Manchester and the I-93 corridor, where major distribution centers operate.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most transportation visa sponsorship opportunities?
Manchester leads with the most opportunities due to FedEx Ground's major facility and proximity to distribution networks. Londonderry follows with UPS operations and logistics centers. Nashua offers positions with regional carriers, while Portsmouth provides maritime and port-related transportation roles. The I-93 and I-95 corridors concentrate most freight and logistics activity.
Are there specific requirements for transportation visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
Transportation roles typically require relevant experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation planning. Many positions prefer candidates with commercial vehicle knowledge or freight management background. Some employers require specific certifications like hazardous materials handling or transportation management credentials, especially for specialized logistics and compliance roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored transportation jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
