Which companies sponsor visas for program directors in New Hampshire?
Healthcare systems and universities account for the largest share of program director sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Dartmouth Health, Elliot Health System, and the University of New Hampshire have all filed for work visas in professional and managerial occupations. Nonprofit organizations and federally funded research programs also appear in sponsorship records, particularly for candidates managing grants or public health initiatives.
Which visa types are most common for program director roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B visa is the most commonly used visa for program director positions, since the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as public health, education, or business administration, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT may also secure sponsorship during active employment. The O-1 visa can apply for candidates with a distinguished record in their field.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most program director sponsorship jobs?
Manchester is New Hampshire's largest city and the primary hub for program director hiring, with a concentration of healthcare systems, nonprofits, and corporate offices. Concord, as the state capital, hosts government-adjacent organizations and public health agencies. Durham and Hanover are notable for university-based roles at UNH and Dartmouth respectively, with sponsorship activity tied closely to academic program management and research administration.
How to find program director visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters program director listings specifically to employers who have a history of sponsoring work visas, saving you from sorting through postings that will never lead to sponsorship. For New Hampshire, filtering by sector helps narrow results to healthcare systems, universities, and nonprofits where sponsorship is most common. Migrate Mate also provides context on visa categories relevant to program director roles so you can apply with a clearer picture of the process.
What should international candidates know about program director roles in New Hampshire?
Program director positions in New Hampshire often require demonstrated leadership over budgets, staff, or grant-funded projects, which means employers will expect your credentials and experience to align closely with the specific program area. For H-1B sponsorship, the employer must file a Labor Condition Application certifying the role meets prevailing wage requirements in the relevant occupational category. Candidates in healthcare or education should verify their foreign credentials are recognized by the relevant professional or accrediting body.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program director jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
