Which companies sponsor visas for registered nurses in New Hampshire?
Dartmouth Health (based in Lebanon), Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, and Elliot Health System are among the larger New Hampshire employers with documented nurse sponsorship activity. Multi-facility health systems in the state are generally more likely to sponsor than smaller community hospitals, as they have dedicated HR and immigration infrastructure to support the process.
Which visa types are most common for registered nurse roles in New Hampshire?
The EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa is the most common pathway for internationally trained registered nurses in New Hampshire, typically paired with NCLEX licensure and credential evaluation. The H-1B is also used for RN roles, particularly those requiring a BSN or higher, though it requires the employer to file a Labor Condition Application and is subject to the annual lottery for cap-subject petitions.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most registered nurse sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua, as New Hampshire's two largest cities, concentrate the most hospital and healthcare employer activity and see the highest volume of RN hiring. The Upper Valley region around Lebanon and Hanover is notable for Dartmouth Health's large academic medical center. Portsmouth and Dover also generate consistent RN openings through Wentworth-Douglass and Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
How to find registered nurse visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters registered nurse jobs specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse New Hampshire openings without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. Because sponsorship willingness isn't always stated in a standard job listing, using a platform built around immigration status, like Migrate Mate, saves significant time when targeting New Hampshire health systems actively hiring internationally trained RNs.
Are there state-specific considerations for registered nurses pursuing sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire requires RNs to hold a valid state license from the New Hampshire Board of Nursing, and internationally trained nurses must have their credentials evaluated by a recognized body such as CGFNS before sitting for the NCLEX. New Hampshire is a Nurse Licensure Compact state, which means nurses who already hold a multistate license from another compact state can practice in New Hampshire without obtaining a separate license.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored registered nurse jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
