Which companies sponsor visas for service techs in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems in Nashua, Benchmark Electronics in Hudson, and medical device manufacturers in the Manchester area have filed for work visas on behalf of service technicians. Defense contractors and precision manufacturing firms in the Merrimack Valley corridor tend to have established immigration processes, particularly for candidates with specialized technical credentials in electronics, electromechanical systems, or industrial automation.
Which visa types are most common for service tech roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for service techs where the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, such as electrical engineering or mechatronics. Some positions qualify under the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying engineering credentials. Roles without a degree requirement generally do not qualify for H-1B sponsorship, so the specific job description matters significantly.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most service tech sponsorship jobs?
Nashua and Manchester account for the largest share of service tech sponsorship activity in New Hampshire, driven by the concentration of defense, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing employers in the southern part of the state. Concord and the Upper Valley region near Lebanon also see activity, particularly tied to healthcare technology and precision manufacturing firms with international hiring patterns.
How to find service tech visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles open to visa sponsorship, letting you search service tech positions in New Hampshire without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. Because sponsorship willingness varies even within the same company depending on the role and location, using Migrate Mate to identify verified sponsoring employers in New Hampshire saves significant time compared to applying broadly and asking later.
What state-specific factors should service tech candidates know about working in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax on wages, which affects total compensation comparisons when evaluating offers. The state's manufacturing and defense sectors are concentrated in Hillsborough and Rockingham counties, making those the most practical areas to focus a job search. Employers sponsoring H-1B visas must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the specific occupation and county, so compensation is tied to the local wage determination for the role.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service tech jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
