INTRODUCTION
Serves as the first point of contact for trading desk technology issues, supporting critical trading platforms across all Markets LOBs. The role requires rapid problem diagnosis, incident coordination, and strong stakeholder management in a fast-paced front-office environment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Trading Platform Support:
- First responder for trader-reported issues and business requests
- Monitor and support mission-critical trading systems
- Coordinate resolution of high-impact incidents
- Perform release implementation and post-release validation
Platforms & Infrastructure:
- Operating Systems: Linux, Solaris, Windows
- Infrastructure knowledge:
- Networking
- Servers
- Storage
- Messaging systems
Scripting & Data:
- Python (preferred)
- Unix Shell / Perl
- SQL (Intermediate)
- Multi-table joins
- Aggregations
Monitoring & Trading Tech:
- ITRS Enterprise monitoring (Geneos preferred)
- Grid computing / batch scheduling
- Experience supporting Front Office traders
