The Boards and Commissions Division oversees the administration of 28 professional and occupational licensing boards and commissions, and approximately 100,000 individual licenses ranging from dentists and social workers to real estate brokers and cosmetologists. This position is located within the Division's Finance Team, based out of the Department's Santa Fe office.
Each board and commission has its own set of rules and its own licensing requirements. The Governor of New Mexico appoints members to boards and commissions who work closely with the Superintendent of the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department to protect consumer rights while promoting good business practices and economic growth.

PURPOSE:
This position exists to assist the financial team in creating, monitoring and auditing financial procedures related to budget, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation and compilations of monthly statistics for Boards and Commissions. This position will conduct monthly budget projections, monthly accounts receivable, payable, purchase orders, vouchers and other financial reports for the Division. Additionally, this position will process monthly reconciliations and monthly statistics for the Boards and Commissions Division.
Responsibilities:
As part of our team, you'll step into a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.
This position will enter payment vouchers, purchase orders, requisitions into SHARE, will upload all required documentation into SHARE, will prepare monthly reports using the SHARE Report System and will use the Wells Fargo Office Portal to reconcile daily and monthly credit card transactions for the division. This position will also provide administrative assistance to the Director and Deputy Directors of the division and will be responsible for other duties as assigned.
Must be able to regularly operate a provided state vehicle for purposes of essential travel to/from locations as necessary to carry out the duties of the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or Business Administration and two (2) years directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance, and/or budgeting. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Must have and maintain current Driver's License, Defensive Driving Certificate and pass Background Check.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Must be able to regularly operate a provided state vehicle for purposes of essential travel to/from locations as necessary to carry out the duties of the position.
