Which companies sponsor visas for account managers in New York?
Large technology firms like Salesforce, Google, and Amazon, financial services companies including JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup, and major advertising and media groups are among the most active visa sponsors for account manager roles in New York. Enterprise software vendors and management consulting firms with significant New York offices also have established sponsorship processes for this role type.
Which visa types are most common for account manager roles in New York?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for account managers in New York when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific related field, such as business, marketing, or communications. The L-1B and L-1A are options for candidates transferring from a multinational employer's foreign office. Australian citizens may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under TN visa status.
Which cities in New York have the most account manager sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the overwhelming majority of account manager sponsorship opportunities in the state, particularly in Manhattan's Midtown and Lower Manhattan districts where finance, technology, and advertising firms are headquartered. Buffalo and Rochester have a smaller but active market tied to regional manufacturing and healthcare sectors. Remote-eligible roles based in New York City are also increasingly common.
How to find account manager visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters account manager roles in New York specifically by visa sponsorship availability, removing the guesswork of identifying which employers will support an international hire. The platform is built for candidates who need sponsorship, so every listing is screened for that requirement. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate gives you a focused view of New York account manager opportunities without sorting through roles that won't consider international applicants.
Are there state-specific considerations for account managers seeking visa sponsorship in New York?
New York's Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements apply to H-1B positions, meaning employers must pay wages meeting or exceeding the prevailing rate for the specific account manager role and location within the state. New York City's high cost of living means prevailing wages in the metro area are generally higher than in upstate regions. The city's dense concentration of multinational employers also means a proportionally higher share of companies have existing sponsorship infrastructure in place.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account manager jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
