ROLE DESCRIPTION
Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior FTA/FRA Grant Compliance Manager to support one of the most iconic and consequential infrastructure initiatives in the United States — the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). This is a unique, high-impact opportunity for a seasoned compliance professional to play a pivotal role on a once-in-a-generation rail infrastructure program, collaborating with some of the most talented minds in the industry.
We are working in partnership with Parsons and Mace as part of the MPA Delivery Partner team, selected by the Gateway Development Commission to deliver this transformative project. The HTP is a critical component of the broader Gateway Program — one of the most ambitious and impactful transportation initiatives in the nation — and is designed to strengthen mobility, enhance resiliency, and ensure the long-term reliability of the Northeast Corridor.
The project encompasses the construction of a new, two-track rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River, along with the full rehabilitation of the existing 113-year-old North River Tunnel. This vital infrastructure supports more than 200,000 daily passengers via Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT and serves as a backbone for economic activity and connectivity between New York and New Jersey.
This is more than just a job — it’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant infrastructure program that will reshape rail transportation, drive sustainable economic growth, and improve regional accessibility for millions. As part of this high-performing, multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver excellence on one of the most technically complex and high-profile projects in the world.
If you're seeking to make a meaningful, lasting impact — while advancing your career alongside some of the best minds in the industry — this is your moment.

Which companies sponsor visas for compliance managers in New York?
Financial institutions dominate sponsorship activity for compliance managers in New York. JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and HSBC have all filed Labor Condition Applications for compliance-related roles. Large healthcare systems like NewYork-Presbyterian and insurance firms such as MetLife also sponsor regularly. Multinational corporations with New York headquarters across media, consulting, and technology round out the employer pool.
Which visa types are most common for compliance manager roles in New York?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for compliance managers in New York, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as finance, law, or accounting and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Australian nationals may pursue the E-3 visa instead. Candidates already holding L-1 visa intracompany transferee status through global financial or consulting firms also transition into compliance manager roles fairly often.
Which cities in New York have the most compliance manager sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the large majority of compliance manager sponsorship activity in New York, driven by the concentration of global banks, asset managers, and financial regulators based there. Albany sees demand from state government contractors and healthcare compliance roles. Buffalo has a growing presence through regional banks and insurance companies. White Plains and other Westchester County employers also post compliance positions tied to pharmaceutical and financial services firms.
How to find compliance manager visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search compliance manager roles in New York without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by location and role type to focus on New York employers actively hiring international candidates. Given how competitive financial services hiring is in New York, checking Migrate Mate regularly for new postings is worthwhile.
Are there state-specific factors that affect compliance manager sponsorship in New York?
New York's dense regulatory environment, particularly in financial services under agencies like the New York State Department of Financial Services, drives consistent demand for compliance managers with specialized knowledge. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage determinations for New York metro areas reflect the high cost of living, so sponsored roles typically carry compensation benchmarks well above the national average for this occupation. Candidates with regulatory or legal credentials from outside the U.S. may need to demonstrate equivalency.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored compliance manager jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
