Which companies sponsor visas for patient services managers in New York?
Large integrated health systems are the most consistent sponsors for patient services manager roles in New York. NYC Health + Hospitals, NewYork-Presbyterian, Northwell Health, Mount Sinai Health System, and Montefiore Medical Center have all filed Labor Condition Applications for administrative and patient-facing healthcare management roles. Academic medical centers affiliated with institutions like Columbia and Cornell also hire internationally for these positions, particularly when specialized healthcare administration experience is in short supply.
Which visa types are most common for patient services manager roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for patient services managers in New York, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, qualifying it as a specialty occupation. Some candidates transition from OPT or STEM OPT after completing U.S. graduate programs. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying credentials. O-1 visas are rare for this role but possible for candidates with documented exceptional achievement in healthcare management.
How to find patient services manager visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international job seekers and filters patient services manager roles in New York by visa sponsorship status, so you're not sorting through listings from employers who won't sponsor. Because New York's healthcare hiring is concentrated in a handful of large health systems, filtering by employer size and industry on Migrate Mate helps you focus on organizations with active sponsorship track records rather than smaller outpatient practices that rarely sponsor.
Which cities in New York have the most patient services manager sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the large majority of patient services manager openings in the state, driven by the density of hospital networks, specialty clinics, and managed care organizations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Buffalo is a secondary hub with systems like Kaleida Health and Catholic Health. Albany and Rochester also have active hiring tied to academic medical centers and regional health networks, though volume is substantially lower than in New York City.
Are there state-specific considerations for patient services manager sponsorship in New York?
New York's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are enforced at the metropolitan area level, so the wage floor for a patient services manager in the New York City metro is higher than in Buffalo or Albany. Employers must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying they'll meet that wage. New York also has a strong pipeline of healthcare administration graduates from programs at Columbia, NYU, and SUNY schools, which shapes the competitive context for internationally educated candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient services manager jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
