Which companies sponsor visas for patient services managers in Ohio?
Ohio's largest healthcare employers have established visa sponsorship track records for patient services managers. Cleveland Clinic, OhioHealth, University Hospitals, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center are among the most active. These academic medical centers and large integrated health systems have dedicated HR infrastructure and immigration support, making them more likely to pursue sponsorship for qualified international candidates than smaller community hospitals.
Which visa types are most common for patient services manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for patient services managers in Ohio, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Some candidates transition through F-1 OPT or STEM OPT if they completed a qualifying U.S. degree. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may qualify for TN status under the Management Consultant category in certain circumstances, though role classification always depends on specific job duties.
Which cities in Ohio have the most patient services manager sponsorship jobs?
Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati concentrate the majority of patient services manager sponsorship opportunities in Ohio. Columbus is home to OhioHealth and the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, both major healthcare employers. Cleveland's health sector is anchored by Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals. Cincinnati hosts Cincinnati Children's and TriHealth. Smaller markets like Dayton and Toledo have regional hospital systems but generate fewer sponsored positions for this role.
How to find patient services manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it practical for international candidates searching for patient services manager roles in Ohio. Rather than sorting through general postings, you can browse verified sponsoring employers across Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati in one place. Migrate Mate is built for international job seekers navigating the U.S. sponsorship process, so the results are relevant to your situation from the start.
Are there state-specific considerations for patient services managers seeking sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio's concentration of academic medical centers creates a hiring environment where patient services managers often need healthcare administration credentials and experience with large-scale patient operations or revenue cycle management. Ohio hospital systems filing H-1B petitions must meet DOL prevailing wage requirements for the Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati metropolitan areas, which vary by location. Candidates with graduate degrees in health services administration or MBA specializations in healthcare tend to strengthen sponsorship cases at Ohio's major health systems.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient services manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
