About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualized spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

Which companies sponsor visas for security engineers in New York?
Major sponsors for security engineers in New York include JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, IBM, and large healthcare systems like NewYork-Presbyterian. Cybersecurity-focused firms and cloud providers with New York offices also file H-1B petitions regularly for security roles. Financial services firms account for a significant share of sponsorships given New York's concentration of regulated institutions with strong security compliance requirements.
Which visa types are most common for security engineer roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for security engineers in New York, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with an L-1B intracompany transfer background in specialized cybersecurity knowledge may also qualify. O-1A visas apply for security engineers with documented extraordinary achievement, though this is far less common.
Which cities in New York have the most security engineer sponsorship jobs?
New York City, particularly Manhattan, holds the large majority of security engineer sponsorship opportunities in the state, driven by its concentration of financial institutions, tech companies, and enterprise firms. Brooklyn's growing tech sector, especially in DUMBO and Downtown Brooklyn, adds additional hiring activity. Albany and Buffalo have a smaller presence, primarily through state government contractors and regional healthcare systems with security teams.
How to find security engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters security engineer jobs specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search New York roles without manually screening each employer for willingness to sponsor. Migrate Mate aggregates positions from companies that have an active track record of filing H-1B and other work visa petitions for security engineering roles, making it more targeted than general job searches for international candidates.
Are there state-specific considerations for security engineers pursuing visa sponsorship in New York?
New York's financial services sector is heavily regulated, and employers in banking and fintech often require security clearance checks or background investigations that can extend the hiring timeline for international candidates. The Department of Labor prevailing wage determinations for security engineers in the New York City metro area reflect the region's high cost of living, meaning H-1B petitions must meet correspondingly higher wage requirements than most other U.S. cities.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored security engineer jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
