TN visas work for Canadian and Mexican veterinarians, while O-1 visas may apply to renowned animal behaviorists or veterinary specialists. J-1 visas are used for veterinary residents and research fellows at academic institutions.
Which animal care & pet services companies sponsor visas in North Carolina?

Pet retailers with corporate offices in Charlotte and pharmaceutical companies with animal testing divisions also sponsor visas for specialized roles requiring advanced degrees or unique expertise.
How to find animal care & pet services visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for animal care roles in North Carolina that offer visa sponsorship. Focus on Research Triangle Park biotechnology companies, university veterinary programs, and large animal hospitals. Target positions requiring specialized veterinary degrees, animal research experience, or expertise in areas like laboratory animal medicine or wildlife conservation.
Which North Carolina cities have the most animal care & pet services sponsorship opportunities?
Raleigh-Durham leads due to NC State University's veterinary school and Research Triangle Park's concentration of biotech companies conducting animal research. Charlotte offers opportunities with corporate veterinary chains and pet retailers. What makes North Carolina's animal care industry unique for visa sponsorship?
North Carolina combines strong agricultural traditions with cutting-edge veterinary research, creating diverse sponsorship opportunities from farm animal medicine to laboratory research. The state's large pork and poultry industries need veterinarians for food safety roles, while Research Triangle Park offers positions in pharmaceutical animal testing and veterinary device development that often require specialized international expertise.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored animal care & pet services jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
