J-1 visas are common for academic and research exchange positions at UNC campuses and federal research facilities. Which North Carolina cities have the most government visa sponsorship opportunities?
Raleigh leads with state government agencies, UNC system institutions, and federal research facilities. U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn.
