Which companies sponsor visas for concierges in North Carolina?
Large hotel groups with a significant presence in North Carolina are the most active sponsors. Omni Hotels, Marriott-branded properties, Hilton, and Hyatt have filed Labor Condition Applications for hospitality roles in Charlotte, Asheville, and the Raleigh-Durham area. Luxury resorts in the Pinehurst and Outer Banks regions also sponsor for specialized concierge positions during peak seasons.
Which visa types are most common for concierge roles in North Carolina?
H-2B is the most common pathway for seasonal concierge work at North Carolina resorts and golf destinations, covering temporary non-agricultural positions when U.S. workers are unavailable. The H-1B applies to concierge roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, typically requiring a relevant bachelor's degree. Some luxury properties also use J-1 visa exchange visitor programs for hospitality trainees.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most concierge sponsorship jobs?
Charlotte leads due to its concentration of full-service hotels serving business travelers and convention guests in the Uptown district. Asheville follows closely, with its year-round tourism economy supporting boutique and resort concierge demand. Pinehurst, Chapel Hill, and the Outer Banks generate seasonal sponsorship activity tied to golf tourism, university visitors, and coastal resort operations.
How to find concierge visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters concierge openings specifically to employers with active visa sponsorship history in North Carolina, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship is unavailable. Search by city or region to focus on Charlotte hotels, Asheville resorts, or coastal properties. Migrate Mate surfaces roles aligned with H-2B and H-1B pathways, so you can prioritize applications where sponsorship is an established practice.
What should international concierge candidates know about North Carolina's hospitality market?
North Carolina's hospitality sector is heavily seasonal in resort destinations like Pinehurst and the Outer Banks, which affects sponsorship type and duration. H-2B petitions for temporary positions require employers to demonstrate U.S. worker unavailability through DOL. For year-round roles in Charlotte or Raleigh, H-1B sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, so verifying the degree requirement with the employer before applying is important.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored concierge jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
