Which companies sponsor visas for concierges in Washington?
Washington's larger luxury hotel brands are the most consistent sponsors for concierge roles. Properties operated by Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, and Four Seasons in Seattle and Bellevue have filed labor condition applications for hospitality positions in the past. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and depends heavily on the specific property, the role's scope, and whether the employer can demonstrate a specialty occupation or seasonal labor need.
Which visa types are most common for concierge roles in Washington?
H-2B is the most common visa category for seasonal concierge and guest services roles, covering temporary non-agricultural workers when U.S. workers are unavailable. H-1B sponsorship is rare but possible when the concierge role requires a specific bachelor's degree, such as hospitality management or a foreign language specialty. Some multilingual concierges supporting international delegations in Seattle may also qualify under TN or O-1 categories, depending on nationality and credentials.
Which cities in Washington have the most concierge sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the majority of concierge sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by its concentration of four- and five-star hotels, the convention center, and steady international business travel. Bellevue is a secondary hub given its tech-adjacent corporate hotel market. Seasonal resort areas including Snoqualmie Pass and Lake Chelan see periodic H-2B demand, while Spokane has a smaller but active hospitality hiring market tied to healthcare and university conference traffic.
How to find concierge visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to identify concierge openings in Washington where employers have a documented sponsorship history. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate surfaces positions at Seattle hotels, Bellevue corporate properties, and resort locations that have previously filed labor condition applications for hospitality staff, saving significant time compared to reviewing unfiltered postings.
Are there any state-specific considerations for concierge sponsorship in Washington?
Washington has no state-level visa sponsorship requirement, but employers must comply with federal prevailing wage standards set by OFLC for any sponsored concierge role. Seattle's high cost of living means prevailing wages for lodging and guest services occupations are above the national average, which employers must account for in their labor condition applications. Candidates with Washington state tourism certifications or fluency in languages common to Seattle's international visitor base, including Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean, may strengthen their profile with prospective sponsors.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored concierge jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
