Which companies in North Carolina sponsor visas for product directors?
Fidelity Investments, Red Hat, Cisco, and SAS Institute are among the most active sponsors for senior product roles in North Carolina. Larger financial technology firms in Charlotte, including Bank of America and Truist, also sponsor product director positions. Enterprise software and health tech companies in the Research Triangle regularly file H-1B visa petitions for product leadership roles.
Which visa types are most common for product director roles in North Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product directors in North Carolina, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates with prior U.S. work authorization, such as an O-1 visa for those with demonstrated expertise, or an L-1A for intracompany transfers into management roles, may also be eligible depending on their background and employer.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most product director sponsorship jobs?
Raleigh and Durham collectively account for the largest share of product director sponsorship activity in North Carolina, driven by the Research Triangle's concentration of technology, life sciences, and enterprise software employers. Charlotte is the second major hub, particularly within financial services and fintech. Smaller clusters exist in Cary and Chapel Hill, often tied to university-adjacent tech companies and health system vendors.
How to find product director visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify product director openings in North Carolina where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. Because sponsorship at the director level depends heavily on the specific employer and role structure, Migrate Mate's curated listings help you focus on companies that have an active track record of filing petitions for senior product talent in this state.
Are there state-specific considerations for product director visa sponsorship in North Carolina?
North Carolina does not impose state-level visa requirements, but the Research Triangle's university pipeline from NC State, Duke, and UNC-Chapel Hill means many employers are experienced with international talent and familiar with the sponsorship process. Product director roles are senior enough that employers typically treat sponsorship costs as manageable relative to total compensation, though each company's sponsorship policy varies and is not guaranteed.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product director jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
