Which companies in Colorado sponsor visas for product directors?
Established tech employers in Colorado with a track record of visa sponsorship for senior product roles include Palantir Technologies (Denver), Ibotta, Gusto, and Zayo Group. Larger national employers with significant Colorado offices, such as Google's Boulder campus and Amazon Web Services, also sponsor product directors. Defense and aerospace firms in Colorado Springs, including Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, hire product directors and have sponsored work visas for technical leadership roles.
Which visa types are most common for product director roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for product directors in Colorado, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates with extraordinary ability in product leadership may qualify for the O-1A. Multinational product leaders transferring within a company to a Colorado office may be eligible for the L-1A, which covers managers and executives.
Which cities in Colorado have the most product director sponsorship jobs?
Denver is by far the most active market for product director sponsorship jobs in Colorado, driven by its concentration of SaaS companies, fintech startups, and large tech campuses. Boulder is a strong secondary market, particularly for venture-backed product roles. Colorado Springs has a smaller but growing presence, primarily in defense technology and cybersecurity product management. Remote-eligible roles posted by Colorado-based employers are also increasingly common across all three cities.
How to find product director visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find product director roles in Colorado where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for sponsoring employers, so you're not sifting through listings that won't support an H-1B or other work visa. Colorado's tech sector moves quickly, so filtering by Denver and Boulder and setting up alerts for product director openings on Migrate Mate helps you respond to new postings early.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for product directors seeking visa sponsorship?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to disclose compensation ranges in job postings, which gives international candidates more transparency when evaluating whether an offer meets prevailing wage requirements for H-1B purposes. Colorado also has a strong university pipeline through CU Boulder and Colorado State, which means employers are accustomed to hiring candidates who need OPT or visa sponsorship. Product directors in regulated industries like defense contracting should confirm security clearance implications before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product director jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
