Which companies sponsor visas for solution managers in North Carolina?
Technology and enterprise software companies lead sponsorship activity for solution managers in North Carolina. SAS Institute, Red Hat, Cisco, IBM, and Lenovo have all filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for solutions-related roles in the state. Charlotte-based financial institutions including Bank of America and Wells Fargo also sponsor solution managers, particularly those working at the intersection of technology and financial services delivery.
Which visa types are most common for solution manager roles in North Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solution managers in North Carolina, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds may qualify for an L-1A or L-1B intracompany transfer. Those with exceptional professional recognition may explore the O-1A, though it requires substantial documented achievements.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most solution manager sponsorship jobs?
The Research Triangle area, spanning Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, accounts for the largest share of solution manager sponsorship activity in North Carolina, driven by its high concentration of technology companies and research institutions. Charlotte is the second-largest hub, particularly for solution managers in fintech and enterprise banking software. Smaller pockets of activity exist in Cary and Morrisville, which host major tech campuses.
How to find solution manager visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship willingness, making it practical for international candidates targeting solution manager roles in North Carolina. Rather than sorting through broad job boards, you can search directly for solution manager positions where employers have indicated sponsorship availability. Focusing your search on the Research Triangle and Charlotte metro areas will surface the highest volume of relevant openings in the state.
What state-specific factors should solution managers consider when pursuing sponsorship in North Carolina?
North Carolina's Research Triangle Park is one of the largest research and technology parks in the United States, creating sustained employer demand for solution managers with enterprise software and systems integration backgrounds. The presence of major university programs at NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and Duke generates a strong local talent pipeline, meaning international candidates benefit from positioning experience with specific platforms or industries that differentiate them from local applicants.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution manager jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
