Which companies sponsor visas for solution managers in Connecticut?
Connecticut's largest visa sponsors for solution manager roles include Cigna, Travelers, Aetna, and Gartner, which maintain significant operations in Hartford and Stamford. Enterprise technology vendors with Connecticut offices, such as Synchrony Financial and SS&C Technologies, also sponsor H-1B visa petitions for solution management professionals. Sponsorship is more common at larger organizations than at smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for solution manager roles in Connecticut?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solution managers in Connecticut, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a specialized field like business, computer science, or engineering, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with prior U.S. employer relationships may also see L-1B transfers. Australians may find E-3 visa an alternative worth exploring with eligible Connecticut employers.
Which cities in Connecticut have the most solution manager sponsorship jobs?
Hartford is Connecticut's primary hub for solution manager sponsorship jobs, driven by the insurance and financial services industry's demand for client-facing technical roles. Stamford is a strong secondary market with a concentration of financial technology and media firms. New Haven sees some demand tied to Yale's innovation ecosystem and healthcare technology companies in the region.
How to find solution manager visa sponsorship jobs in Connecticut?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters solution manager roles in Connecticut by visa sponsorship availability, saving significant time compared to manually vetting postings. Filtering by Hartford and Stamford on Migrate Mate surfaces employers in insurance, financial services, and enterprise software, which are the sectors most actively sponsoring this role type in the state.
Are there any Connecticut-specific considerations for solution manager sponsorship candidates?
Connecticut's Department of Labor prevailing wage data reflects the state's high cost of living, meaning H-1B employers must meet wage levels that often exceed national averages for comparable solution manager roles. The state's concentration in regulated industries like insurance and financial services also means employers typically have established immigration programs and legal teams experienced with sponsorship, which can benefit candidates navigating the process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution manager jobs in Connecticut?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
