Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT, BSE: 507685, NSE: WIPRO) is a leading technology services and consulting company focused on building innovative solutions that address clients’ most complex digital transformation needs. Leveraging our holistic portfolio of capabilities in consulting, design, engineering, and operations, we help clients realize their boldest ambitions and build future-ready, sustainable businesses. With over 230,000 employees and business partners across 65 countries, we deliver on the promise of helping our customers, colleagues, and communities thrive in an ever-changing world.
We are seeking a Databricks Platform Engineer to deploy and manage our enterprise data platform. In this role, you will eliminate manual configuration by treating our entire data ecosystem as code. You will leverage Terraform as our primary Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool to provision, secure, and scale multi-region Databricks workspaces across our Azure and AWS cloud stacks. Your work will directly enable our data engineering and analytics teams to deploy secure, compliant, and highly optimized pipelines seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities - Infrastructure Automation & Provisioning
End-to-End Automation: maintain reusable Terraform modules to deploy multi-region Databricks workspaces from scratch.
Cloud Integration: Link Databricks workspaces with foundational cloud assets like AWS VPCs/IAM or Azure VNets/Private Endpoints.
Storage and Compute: Provision secure cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure ADLS Gen2) and define scalable cluster configurations via code.
State Management: Establish rigorous CI/CD workflows for Git-driven infrastructure deployments using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Governance, Security & Access Control
Unity Catalog Implementation: Automate data governance architectures, managing catalogs, schemas, and external locations purely via the Databricks Terraform Provider.
Identity Management: Configure SCIM provisioning, Service Principals, and Group memberships to enforce the principle of least privilege.
Secrets Management: Programmatically sync cloud secret managers (AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault) with Databricks secret scopes.
Performance & Cost Optimization
Cluster Policies: Design and enforce cluster policies via IaC to control instance types, auto-termination rules, and spot/on-demand ratios.
Monitoring & Alerts: Set up automated workspace monitoring, log delivery (diagnostic logs), and budget alerts to keep infrastructure cost-efficient.
Mandatory Skills: Databricks.
Experience: 8-10 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000.
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
Applicants are advised that employment in some roles may be conditioned on successful completion of a post-offer drug screening, subject to applicable state law.
Wipro provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws. Reinvent your world. We are building a modern Wipro. We are an end-to-end digital transformation partner with the boldest ambitions. To realize them, we need people inspired by reinvention. Of yourself, your career, and your skills. We want to see the constant evolution of our business and our industry. It has always been in our DNA - as the world around us changes, so do we. Which companies sponsor visas for solution managers in Minnesota?
UnitedHealth Group and its subsidiary Optum are among the most active sponsors for solution manager roles in Minnesota, given their scale in healthcare technology. Target, Best Buy, and U.S. Bank also file H-1B visa petitions for solution-oriented roles in the Twin Cities. Medtronic and other medical device firms sponsor positions that blend technical solution management with healthcare industry expertise.
Which visa types are most common for solution manager roles in Minnesota?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solution managers in Minnesota, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or business technology. Candidates with advanced credentials sometimes pursue O-1 visa classification. Australians may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN visa category if the role meets specialty occupation criteria.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most solution manager sponsorship jobs?
Minneapolis and St. Paul account for the overwhelming majority of solution manager sponsorship opportunities in Minnesota. Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, and Bloomington are also significant hubs due to the presence of large corporate headquarters in those suburbs. Companies like Optum (Eden Prairie) and Medtronic (Fridley) operate major campuses outside the urban core, so the broader Twin Cities metro is worth searching rather than Minneapolis alone.
How to find solution manager visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify solution manager roles in Minnesota without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can search by location and role type to surface openings at Minnesota employers with an active sponsorship history. This is more targeted than general job searches that mix sponsored and non-sponsored listings together.
Are there any state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for solution managers in Minnesota?
Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, particularly in healthcare, retail, and financial services, means many employers already have established immigration programs and legal teams familiar with H-1B sponsorship. The University of Minnesota and other regional institutions also create a pipeline of international graduates that has normalized sponsorship for solution-oriented roles. Employers filing H-1B petitions must comply with Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements specific to the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution manager jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
