Search Systems Analyst Jobs in North CarolinaSystems Analyst Jobs in North Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies in North Carolina sponsor visas for systems analysts?
Large employers with consistent H-1B visa sponsorship records for systems analysts in North Carolina include Fidelity Investments, Lenovo North America, Cisco Systems, SAS Institute, Bank of America (Charlotte), Duke University Health System, and UNC Health. State government contractors and research institutions affiliated with NC State and Duke University also sponsor systems analysts, particularly for enterprise IT and infrastructure roles.
Which visa types are most common for systems analyst roles in North Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa for systems analysts in North Carolina, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose job duties align with the Systems Analyst classification under USMCA. Some candidates also enter through L-1B intracompany transfers when moving within a multinational employer.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most systems analyst sponsorship jobs?
The Research Triangle, specifically Raleigh, Durham, and the Cary-Morrisville tech corridor, accounts for the largest share of systems analyst sponsorship jobs in North Carolina. Charlotte is a secondary hub, driven by its financial services sector. Greensboro and Winston-Salem have a smaller but active market tied to healthcare systems and manufacturing IT. Most remote-eligible roles posted in North Carolina are also anchored to Triangle or Charlotte-area employers.
How to find systems analyst visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search systems analyst roles in North Carolina without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. The platform covers openings across the Research Triangle, Charlotte, and other NC markets. Because sponsorship status changes frequently, checking Migrate Mate regularly gives you the most current picture of which employers are actively filing for systems analyst positions.
What should systems analysts know about North Carolina's hiring market and prevailing wage requirements?
Employers sponsoring H-1B visas for systems analysts in North Carolina must pay the prevailing wage as determined by the Department of Labor for the specific location and job level. The Research Triangle's concentration of technology, pharma, and financial firms has driven strong demand for systems analysts, but competition among international applicants is high. Candidates with experience in enterprise resource planning, healthcare IT systems, or financial technology tend to align well with North Carolina's dominant employer industries.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored systems analyst jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
