Which companies sponsor visas for service supervisors in North Dakota?
Sanford Health and Essentia Health are among the larger North Dakota employers with documented visa sponsorship history for supervisory roles in healthcare services. In the energy and utilities sector, Basin Electric Power Cooperative and MDU Resources Group have hired internationally for operations and service management positions. Agricultural equipment companies with manufacturing or service operations in the state, including CNH Industrial, also appear in federal LCA disclosure records for supervisory hires.
Which visa types are most common for service supervisor roles in North Dakota?
The H-1B visa is the most common work visa for service supervisor roles, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as operations management, engineering technology, or a related discipline. The H-2B visa covers temporary nonagricultural service workers but does not apply to supervisory positions requiring a degree. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Each case depends on the specific job duties and degree requirements the employer documents.
Which cities in North Dakota have the most service supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Fargo is North Dakota's largest city and the most active market for service supervisor hiring, driven by its concentration of healthcare systems, technology services firms, and manufacturing operations. Bismarck, the state capital, has demand from government-adjacent service contractors and utilities. Grand Forks benefits from proximity to the University of North Dakota and a growing healthcare and research services sector. Minot and Williston see periodic demand tied to energy industry service operations.
How to find service supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in North Dakota?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking U.S. visa sponsorship, and you can filter directly for service supervisor roles in North Dakota to see employers actively open to sponsoring. Because sponsorship willingness is not always stated in standard job postings, using a platform that pre-filters for it saves significant time. Migrate Mate also surfaces roles from smaller regional employers in North Dakota that may not appear on general job boards.
Are there any state-specific considerations for service supervisor visa sponsorship in North Dakota?
North Dakota's economy is heavily influenced by agriculture, energy extraction, and healthcare, so service supervisor roles here often require industry-specific technical knowledge that strengthens a visa petition's specialty occupation argument. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage determination for service supervisors in North Dakota reflects the regional cost of living, which is lower than major metro markets. Employers in smaller cities like Minot or Dickinson may have less prior experience with visa sponsorship processes, so candidates should be prepared to assist with documentation questions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service supervisor jobs in North Dakota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
