Which airlines companies sponsor Green Card visas in Ohio?
Airlines and aviation-adjacent employers with documented Ohio sponsorship activity include UPS Airlines, which operates a major air hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines ground operations in Columbus and Cleveland, and regional carriers serving Ohio's airports. Cargo operators and aircraft maintenance organizations have also filed Green Card sponsorship cases for specialized technical roles in the state.
Which cities in Ohio have the most airlines Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Cincinnati leads due to the UPS Worldport air hub at CVG, which sits on the Ohio-Kentucky border and drives significant aviation employment on the Ohio side. Columbus and Cleveland follow, with both cities hosting major airline operations, cargo facilities, and airport authority positions. Dayton, home to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and its civilian aviation ecosystem, also generates airlines-adjacent sponsorship opportunities.
What types of airlines roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Ohio?
Green Card sponsorship in Ohio's airlines sector tends to concentrate in roles requiring specialized education or licensure: aircraft maintenance engineers, avionics technicians, airline operations analysts, air traffic control specialists, logistics technology engineers, and aviation safety inspectors. Roles requiring FAA certification or an engineering degree in aerospace or electrical disciplines are most commonly tied to employer-sponsored PERM labor certification filings.
How do I find airlines Green Card sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for airlines Green Card sponsorship roles in Ohio, showing verified employer sponsorship history drawn from DOL labor certification data. This means you can see which Ohio airlines employers have actually filed Green Card cases rather than relying on job listings that may not reflect true sponsorship intent. Start your search on Migrate Mate and filter by visa type, state, and industry to narrow results to confirmed sponsors.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Ohio's airlines industry?
Ohio does not impose state-level immigration filing requirements beyond federal PERM and USCIS processes, but employers in Ohio's airlines sector must comply with DOL prevailing wage determinations for the relevant occupation and geographic area. The Cincinnati metro's split across state lines can affect which wage determination applies depending on the worksite address. Candidates should confirm the specific worksite location, as prevailing wage rates and processing offices can differ between Ohio counties.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card airlines jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
