Which companies in Ohio sponsor visas for product directors?
Ohio employers with documented H-1B sponsorship history for senior product roles include JPMorgan Chase and Huntington National Bank in Columbus, Progressive Insurance in Cleveland, and Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. Large technology employers like NCR and Sabre also maintain Ohio presences. Sponsorship decisions are made case by case, and director-level roles generally require demonstrated specialty occupation qualifications.
Which visa types are most common for product director roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product directors in Ohio, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates already holding L-1A visas through multinational employers may also transfer into director-level positions. O-1A is an option for those with documented extraordinary achievement in product leadership.
Which Ohio cities have the most product director visa sponsorship jobs?
Columbus accounts for the largest share of Ohio's product director sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and technology employers. Cleveland follows, particularly in healthcare technology and insurance sectors. Cincinnati's consumer goods and fintech presence, anchored by companies like Procter & Gamble and Fifth Third Bank, produces consistent demand for senior product talent.
How to find product director visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters product director roles specifically to employers with active or prior visa sponsorship history, which saves significant research time compared to general job searches. On Migrate Mate, you can narrow results to Ohio and the product director category to see which companies are currently hiring. Because director-level roles often aren't publicly labeled as sponsorship-eligible, using a dedicated sponsorship-focused platform is the most reliable starting point.
What should product directors know about Ohio-specific sponsorship considerations?
Ohio's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are calculated using Department of Labor data specific to each metro area, so wages for product director roles in Columbus differ from those in Cleveland or Cincinnati. Ohio's large public university system, including Ohio State and Case Western Reserve, creates a pipeline of international talent that some employers actively recruit. Director-level roles generally face closer USCIS scrutiny on specialty occupation qualification than individual contributor positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product director jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
