Which companies sponsor visas for product directors in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, and Google are among the most active sponsors for product director roles in Washington, given their large Seattle-area footprints and established immigration programs. Expedia, Tableau, and Zillow have also sponsored senior product hires. Larger tech employers with dedicated HR and legal teams are generally more experienced with the sponsorship process for director-level roles.
Which visa types are most common for product director roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product directors in Washington, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. Candidates already holding L-1A visas through intracompany transfers are another common pathway. Those with extraordinary ability may qualify for the O-1A, which is not subject to the H-1B annual lottery.
Which cities in Washington have the most product director sponsorship jobs?
Seattle holds the largest concentration of product director sponsorship opportunities in Washington, anchored by major tech campuses and a dense startup ecosystem. Bellevue and Redmond follow closely, primarily driven by Microsoft's headquarters and Amazon's expanding Eastside presence. Outside the Seattle metro, Kirkland and Bothell have smaller but active hiring markets, particularly in cloud software and life sciences.
How to find product director visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse product director roles in Washington without sifting through positions that don't sponsor. You can narrow results by location, seniority, and industry to focus on Seattle, Bellevue, or Redmond employers. Migrate Mate is built for international candidates, so every listing shown is from an employer open to sponsoring.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for product directors seeking visa sponsorship?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since compensation structures may differ from states where tax gross-ups are common. The state's concentration in cloud computing and e-commerce means product director roles often sit within highly technical orgs, strengthening the specialty occupation argument for H-1B petitions. University programs at the University of Washington also create a local pipeline that employers are already accustomed to sponsoring.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product director jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
