Search Product Director Jobs in WisconsinProduct Director Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for product directors in Wisconsin?
Epic Systems, Exact Sciences, Fiserv, Northwestern Mutual, Advocate Aurora Health, and American Family Insurance are among Wisconsin employers known to sponsor work visas for senior product roles. These organizations file H-1B petitions for product leadership positions and have dedicated HR and legal infrastructure to support the sponsorship process, though sponsorship decisions are made case by case.
Which visa types are most common for product director roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product directors in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, business, or engineering. Candidates with multinational backgrounds may also qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa, and those with exceptional achievement may pursue the O-1 visa.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most product director sponsorship jobs?
Madison and Milwaukee are the two primary markets for product director visa sponsorship in Wisconsin. Madison is driven by Epic Systems and a dense healthtech and biotech cluster anchored by the University of Wisconsin. Milwaukee concentrates financial services and insurance employers including Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual. Verona, as Epic's headquarters location, also sees consistent senior product hiring.
How to find product director visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to search product director roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can browse by role and state to surface employers actively hiring at the director level who have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for product leadership talent.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for product directors seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's Department of Workforce Development publishes prevailing wage data that shapes what employers must pay H-1B workers in product director roles, and rates differ across the Madison and Milwaukee metro areas. Wisconsin's strong university system, particularly UW-Madison, produces a pipeline into local employers, and some of these companies have existing immigration counsel experienced with senior-level sponsorship, which can streamline the process compared to smaller employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product director jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
