Which companies in Texas sponsor visas for product directors?
Large technology and enterprise companies in Texas with established immigration programs include Dell Technologies, AT&T, Texas Instruments, and IBM. Austin-based software and SaaS companies have also grown significantly as sponsors for senior product roles. Firms in fintech and healthcare technology, particularly in Dallas and Houston, are increasingly sponsoring international candidates at the director level.
Which visa types are most common for product director roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for product directors in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, business, or engineering. Candidates with extraordinary achievement may qualify for the O-1A. Nationals of Australia, Canada, and Mexico have additional options through the E-3 visa and TN visa categories respectively.
Which cities in Texas have the most product director sponsorship jobs?
Austin has the highest concentration of product director sponsorship opportunities, anchored by a dense cluster of technology companies and startups. Dallas-Fort Worth is strong in enterprise software, telecommunications, and financial services. Houston adds opportunities in energy technology and healthcare platforms. San Antonio has a smaller but growing presence, particularly in cybersecurity and defense-adjacent product organizations.
How to find product director visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify product director roles in Texas where employers are actively open to sponsoring international candidates. Because director-level roles are rarely labeled as sponsorship-friendly in generic job searches, using a dedicated platform like Migrate Mate saves significant time and surfaces opportunities that would otherwise be hard to find.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for product directors seeking visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which is worth understanding when evaluating offers, though the Department of Labor prevailing wage requirement for H-1B roles is set at the federal level based on the specific metro area. Austin and Dallas are classified in higher-cost metros, which affects the prevailing wage floor employers must meet. Texas universities including UT Austin and Texas A&M also produce strong product management pipelines, meaning competition for sponsorship roles at local companies can be significant.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product director jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
